To volunteer with us you need the following:
- Be above 18 years of age. If you are below 18 years, a written consent from parents or guardian is necessary.
- Have a positive attitude towards independent progress of others.
- Have a willingness to adapt to the local conditions of an environment.
- Have a desire to interact and understand other people’s culture and philosophy of life.
- Be open-minded and willing to freely exchange ideas, information, and experiences.
You do. Through a special portal located at ecitizen.go.ke, you can obtain your e-Visa before traveling.
In rare cases, a tourist visa to Kenya is only valid for 30 days out of a total 90-day period. If you are staying for longer than one month, you must inform the immigration staff at the airport upon arrival that you have applied for and require a three-month visa.
Yes. You may need to get various immunizations before entering Kenya depending on where you currently live. For advice on all medical matters, get in touch with your preferred medical facility. Please get ready in advance as some immunizations require multiple shots.
At the moment, it is not necessary to produce a positive Covid-19 test upon arriving in Kenya.
You. Physically disabled people have an opportunity and for customary reasons, we will need you to disclose your impairment in your application. This will help us match you with the project where your talents and knowledge will be used to their fullest potential.
Before you leave home, you should make photocopies of all important documents, including your passport, data page, and visa documents, credit cards, travel insurance policy, train/bus/air tickets, and driver’s license. Keep two copies: one separate from the originals and one safely back at home. Please leave a copy of your passport and your visa at our office.

You will be picked you up from the airport and taken to the host. Please verify that we have your accurate flight information before beginning your travel to Kenya. The participation fee covers the expenses for two airport transfers—one pick-up upon arrival and one drop-off upon departure from Kenya.
You will be required to cover any additional airport transfer fees.
For the duration of your volunteer service with us, you will stay at the home of the hosts family. This will be both in Nairobi and at the project location.
You will be required to cover any lodging costs incurred before or after the PROJECT TERM.
Once you have completed your project, you will receive a Recognition Certificate of Volunteer Service Certificate. This certificate can be a valuable addition to your resume as many employers recognize that volunteer travel is beneficial for personal and professional development, as well as cross cultural competence.
