Clean Water & Sanitation for a Healthier Community

For years, our community struggled with access to safe water, relying on a distant, contaminated river that led to frequent waterborne diseases. Women and children bore the burden of fetching water daily, risking their health and safety. To solve this, we successfully built a borehole, now providing clean water to all, improving health, and easing the strain on families.

Beyond household use, this water source has boosted small-scale farming and agroforestry efforts. Community members can now engage in tree planting and nursery development, especially during school holidays, promoting environmental conservation and sustainability.

To further improve hygiene, we plan to construct an inclusive toilet and bathroom facility at our community center. This will ensure proper sanitation for all, including children and those with disabilities, while empowering young girls with private, dignified spaces for menstrual hygiene.

While we’ve made great strides, we seek support to maintain and expand these vital WASH initiatives. With your help, we can secure clean water, improve sanitation, and promote environmental conservation, ensuring a healthier and more sustainable future for our community.
