Volunteering: A Unique Opportunity to Give Back, Learn, and Grow
VOlunteer with us
There can never be too many helping hands.
Would you like to volunteer as an individual, family, or as a group? Be it for a short or long period then you have come to the right place.
Are you seeking a meaningful volunteering experience, whether as an individual, with your family, or as part of a group? Look no further – you’ve arrived at the perfect destination. At JEVIVO, we offer diverse and engaging opportunities that cater to your interests and availability, whether you’re looking for a short-term commitment or a longer-term immersion.
Immerse yourself in the heart of communities and cultures, where you’ll not only lend your support but also gain invaluable insights into local life. Our programs foster dynamic exchanges between volunteers and locals, creating rich opportunities for cultural exchange and mutual learning.
Throughout your volunteer assignment, you’ll have the chance to live with a host family, providing you with an authentic glimpse into daily life and traditions. From savoring local cuisine to participating in daily activities, you’ll forge deep connections and lasting memories with your host community.
Our volunteer project offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to communities while immersing yourself in local culture, language, and cuisine. You’ll engage in cultural activities like home visits, community interactions, and excursions to nearby attractions. We welcome participants of all ages and backgrounds, offering flexible commitment options:
- Short-term: 1 week to 1 month
- Mid-term: 1 to 6 months
- Long-term: 6 months to 1 year
Accommodation & Facilities
Volunteers stay with local host families near project sites, enjoying authentic, simple meals. Facilities are basic, with pit latrines and basin baths, though shower facilities are available at the project site.
Airport Pickup & Travel Authorization
We provide airport pickup and drop-off, recommending Kisumu International Airport for convenience. Volunteers must apply for an electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) online before traveling to Kenya. Support for documentation is provided.
These roles allow volunteers to make a lasting impact while gaining hands-on experience and cultural insight. Join us for an unforgettable journey of service and learning!
